NBA in Review: Week 7

You are here: Home / Basketball / NBA in Review: Week 7

By: Michael Alby - Posted: February 9, 2021 Filed Under: Basketball

Welcome back, everybody! I had a huge week in DFS as well as in my dynasties on dynastysportsempire.com. I have been using this write up as one of my main tools to help construct my everyday lineups. These rankings show which teams are top 5 in points, and points were given up by position. If you have any questions on how to use it to create DFS lineups or want to chop up these slates, hit me up on Twitter @MikeAlby.

Takeaways:

For the most part, these top 5s have stayed the same. Teams have flipped flopped with each other, but they haven’t changed too much for the most part. This means these teams have consistently been getting blasted or have been very stingy for two weeks straight. If you haven’t been taking advantage of this, now is the time!

One of my favorite positions to target that has won me a nice chunk of change recently has been streaming centers against the Nets. The loss of Jarrett Allen has been devastating for them.

Washington has also been a great team to target at point guard and center. This is primarily because they have lost Thomas Bryant for the season, and nobody has stepped up into that role. And Russell Westbrook has been dealing with injuries and rest days. So they have been struggling to fill in that gap defensively.

Another thing I pay attention to is the teams that are top 5 best vs. a position. Especially if you have a mediocre center, we will say in this example, going up against Philly. If Joel Embiid is suiting up, that center is locked down. So you then look to see what other position could be serviceable. And when you look at power forward, Philly has been great against them too. That narrows down to 3 positions to target them with. So using this chart can narrow down your targets to pinpoint which players to use.

As I said, if you have any questions at all, please hit me up on Twitter @MikeAlby. I will be breaking down NBA slates every single day this week before I post my optimal lineups. Also, Monday, I will have another football podcast up, and I would love for you to have a listen!
