5 Finger Hop Punch was a pleasant surprise from a great brewery that produces excellent stouts. I was drawn right off the bat to the uniqueness of a quintuple dry-hopped beer, and it did not disappoint with a hoppy taste, smooth finish, and notes of citrus. 5 Finger Hop Punch is a unique IPA that I hope Mikerphone will bring back and distribute again.
Rating:
My draft prospect comparison is AJ Epenesa, EDGE, Iowa. This beer is a freak, and although not the sexiest pick, it delivers on everything you would like for in a great beer. It is a late first-round pick.
About me:
I live in the suburbs of Chicago, and my hobbies include fantasy sports and drinking beer. I believe that both these hobbies are similar in the regards that both involve research, preferences, and the occasional luck of finding a diamond in the rough. I set the goal each year of trying 300 new beers, and I currently have been successful for the last three years. I hope this exploration into beer will provide you some insights and some good beer recommendations.
