One of the questions many fantasy owners find themselves asking, especially after the first month of play, is “did I make the right moves in my draft and with trades?” I know, from personal experience, that one month of play is, sometimes, not enough time for hitters or pitchers to find their groves and settle in. Not to mention that some hitters who start of hot and seemingly come out of nowhere can just as quickly fade into the silence as the season progresses. That is where this series comes in – to give a month-by-month snapshot of who the top scorers are and where they stand up to their initial draft spot.
According to the DSE scoring system, here is a lookback comparison of the top-50 scoring players in the MLB – and where they were drafted in start-up H2H point leagues this year. I will also be publishing a similar article for H2H point leagues located HERE.
As the season progresses, I will post an updated table that will highlight players who climb or fall in the rankings. Any player taken in the Free-Agent rounds of the start-up draft whose +/- differential is greater than or equal to 25 has been marked in BOLD, whereas any player whose +/- differential is less than or equal to -25 has been ITALICIZED.
