In this last installment of our June rankings, we look at the IDP side of things. We have combined the DE/DT rankings into DL and the CB/S rankings into DB.
Starting off with the DL rankings, there is clear consensus at the top with Daniell Hunter from the Vikings. He comes in at #1 in all rankings, followed by Nick Bosa at 2 and helmet swinging Myles Garret at 3. The Bosa family comes in again at 4 with Joey, who is tied with Aaron Donald. A couple of notables on the DL side of things: unsigned Jadaveon Clowney is at 21. One might think that depending on where Clowney signs, that could move in one direction or the other. Rookie Chase Young starts off at 6th overall, which is an indicator of how highly he is thought of coming out of Ohio State.

Linebackers are next, and except for Cole Race putting Darius Leonard at 2, he would have been the consensus #1 player at this position. And Leonard is where the consensus ends. Of all of the positions that were ranked, the LB position has the least amount of agreement. Bobby Wagner was ranked as high as 1, and as low as 14. Littleton’s range was from 4 to 12. Roquan Smith, ranked 2nd by me, was ranked 11th by Conte. The one that seemed the oddest was TJ Watt. Watt was ranked 2nd by 2 people, and then also ranked 12th and 27th by the other two rankers. Rookies Queen and Simmons cracked the top 30 at 26 and 27 respectively, and the Chargers’ Kenneth Murray comes in at 32nd overall.

Finally, we get to the DB rankings, where again we have a consensus with Jamal Adams being #1 overall. It will be interesting to see where Adams is as his contract issue continues to evolve. If Adams gets his wishes and lands with someone like the Niners, he will probably remain at the top spot in our rankings. If he holds out and doesn’t seem like he’s going to play, one would think that his rankings would suffer some. We will see. Again, a wide array of rankings (see Minkah Fitzpatrick, Jonathan Abram, and Shawn Williams). From a rookie perspective, McKinney and Chinn were the only 2 rookie safeties to show up on our initial rankings.
